Name Sign
- Use MicroSoft Publisher to create Sign.
- Change page to Landscape format
- Click File-->Page setup & choose landscape-->OK.
- Use Word Art under Insert -->Picture for typing your name.
- Use Clip Art to insert a picture that reflects your interests.
- Place picture behind Word Art
- Center picture and Name
- Save your sign to "My Documents" folder with title of "my name sign"
*Class Schedule
- Use MicroSoft Word, Tables (on tool bar) to create a table 7 columns by 12 rows.
- Change page to Landscape format.
- Click File-->Page setup & choose landscape-->OK
- Label columns: Hour, Time, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Use your class schedule to fill in Hour, Time and Subject.
- Save your schedule to "My documents" folder with title of "my schedule"
Word Processing
- *Autobiography - must be single spaced, indented paragraphs, header*
- Use MicroSoft Word and idea sheet to create autobiography.
- Save Autobiography to "My documents" folder with title of "my autobio".
- Bring in a small photograph of yourself to be scanned or scan your own photo and send it to mdipalma@bcspanthers.org as an attachment on an email, or have your picture taken by Mrs. DiPalma.
Web Page Creation
- Following the directions in a booklet and going online, you will use HTML Codes and javascript to create your own web site.
- You may put one javascript on any or all pages.

- There will be three linked pages:
- All About Me.htm (Use your typed autobiography and your picture to design this web page)
- All About BCS.htm
- Print out the BCS Facts Sheet.
- Go to the BCS website to gather 10 facts about the school and fill in the blanks on the BCS Facts Sheet to help create All About BCS web page.
- All About My Endangered Animal.htm
- Choose an endangered animal from researching "Websites for Endangered Animals" on Mrs. DiPalma's webpage.
- Print out the endangered animals worksheet and fill in the blanks with data on your chosen animal found on Mrs. DiPalma's webpage.
- Save several photos of your animal from the Internet that will be used on your animal web page.
- Create a webpage using the data you collected and the pictures you saved.
- Arrange the data in a bulleted list
- Add the pictures at the top of the webpage.
- Add sound file of your animal.
*Spread sheet
- Use MicroSoft Excel to create a survey sheet of all students' endangered animals
- Make columns entitled "Student Name", "Animal", "Enemies", "Population", "How to Save"
- Interview each student to obtain data for spread sheet.
- Type a list of all students, all animals, their enemies, animal population, how to save each animal.
- Print out sheet when finished obtaining data through interviews.
Desktop publishing
- Use Microsoft Publisher to create a 6-panel brochure with pictures and data of your animal and a message to challenge others to save your endangered animal.
Keyboarding
- Typing Master
You will complete 12 lessons inTyping Master to improve your keyboarding speed and accuracy
You will print out your completed summary.
Digital Art
- You will use the PhotoShop Elements 3.0 program to create and save projects using miscellaneous tools available.
Slide Show Presentation
- Using MS PowerPoint, create a slideshow with 5 slides on your endangered animal.
- You will use Windows Movie Maker to create projects including music, transition and animation and save as video files.
- You will use MS Photo Story 4 to create projects including music, transition, and animation and save as video files.
*All printed projects
- must use a header:
- must be Left justified: Name, grade level, date, (page number if document takes more than one page).
