Affordability

Bradenton Christian School is a non-profit entity that strives to keep tuition affordable for all seeking a Christian education for their children. Funding the education of a student is a major investment for most families and it is our goal to reflect the socioeconomic base that represent the local Christian community. To achieve this objective, BCS accepts a number of scholarships as well as allocates a portion of the operating budget in order to offer financial aid.

BCS Financial Aid Program is a needs-based assistance program. Aid is granted on the basis of demonstrated need and the availability of funds. Applications for aid are submitted on-line through School and Student Service for Financial Aid. Aid is granted on a first come, first serve basis so it is important to complete the 2013-14 application process and submit a copy of your tax return to SSS by March 15. Applications can be submitted after March 15 but adjustments may not be reflected on the first billing for the 2013-2014 school year. (See the Financial Aid Applications Flyer for detailed information)

Tuition discounts are available for multi-student families as well as children of parents in full time ministry. A variety of payment plans are available without finance charge including a 12 month payment plan. The 2012-2013 Tuition Schedule and the 2013-2014 Tuition Schedule provides information on the discounts and payment plans.

The State of Florida Scholarship offers funding opportunities in addition to what a family may qualify for through the BCS Financial Aid Program. Those that are accepted at BCS include: Step Up for Students (formerly Florida Pride), McKay Scholarship and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). These are administered through the State of Florida and each has its own set of qualifying criteria. To learn more or to begin the application process, please visit the following websites.

BCS Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) is another way to save on your tuition. Gift cards purchased through the school will return a percentage of the dollars spent that will be a credit on your tuition. There are thousands of area and national retailers represented in this program such as Publix, Wal-Mart, gas companies or even airlines, hotel chains and rental car companies. Anyone can participate in this program so plan early and start accumulating tuition credit while your child is a newborn! Your family and friends can participate and direct their rebates toward your tuition account. To learn more about TRIP, click here.

At BCS, we are committed to providing financial assistance to families with demonstrated need. Financial assistance is not considered or awarded for the purpose of interscholastic competition (i.e., academics, music, athletics etc…). Admission decisions are made independent of financial need. For more information about affordability, please contact Jannon Pierce 941-792-5454 x117 Director of Parent and Public Relations.

To arrange a campus tour, schedule a student shadow day and request an informational packet, please contact the Admissions Office (941-792-5454 x104). Please let us know how we can assist you in this very important decision for your student's future.
