My philosophy of Christian education must begin with and grow out of my personal relationship with and commitment to Jesus Christ. I met Him as my personal Savior, April 29, 1967. My desire has been to know Him better and live His way.
I believe my philosophy is worked out in viewing the child as God views him/her, one for whom Christ died. The student must see that my relationship with Jesus Christ is not something I put on or take off for their benefit but rather it is a natural way of life. This begins by being a model, admittedly imperfect, of a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week follower of Christ. As Jesus grew in "wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men," my goal is to effectively affect each student in those areas.
A critical aspect of my philosophy is influencing the parents to take their God-given responsibility for their children seriously. I desire to aid the parent in the training of their children in any way I can. I want the parent to view my role in their child's life as a supporter of them not as a replacement of them.
I take very seriously my responsibility for the children God has entrusted to my care. I want to be available to be and do all God desires from me.
