Jack Hamel, Director of Technology

Welcome to the everchanging world of technology

New

We are expanding our Technology Department with exciting ventures.  We now have a low power radio station (88.3 FM, Home of the Panther) staffed by talented students from our high school. These students provide prayer, news, sports, weather, and music for your enjoyment each morning from 7:00am to 8:13am and from 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm each afternoon!

We are also producing a weekly sports talk show over 1490 am every week during football season from 6 pm to 7 pm.

Video production

We are developing a video production studio here at BCS.  It is a video streaming system over our school computer network.  We are also studying the feasability of delivering the saved broadcasts on our web page.  If you have some older small tv's we could use for monitors or maybe help us with the costs of a mixer, please let us know.

We are now offering Media Production as an elective this year in the secondary school.

The Video Clubs

There is a club for 3-6 graders on Thursday.  They develop a morning tv show and also create and edit videos about the school, the community and our sports teams.

There will be special events during the year including a film festival soon.

Microsoft Office Adult computer workshops will be offered soon.   Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel will be taught at these workshops.
