Bradenton Christian School was established in 1960 with the goal of providing an academically rich education built on the infallible Word of God. Over the years, the curriculum offerings have expanded and include both Christian and secular texts to provide the best possible educational tools. Yet each subject is taught from a Christian perspective to ensure each child understands how the Word of God applies.
Admission is offered to students with a broad range of academic abilities. Yet BCS students consistently score an average of one and half to two years above their grade level on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. This is an assessment tool given each year through grade 7.
The curriculum elements include:
- Social Studies
- Language Arts
- Resource Room
- Physical Education
- Bible / Spiritual Development
- Band / Strings / Music Appreciation (Grades 5-6)
Innovative activities inside and outside the classroom bring learning to life.
